What types of events is the venue best suited for?

Weddings are what we host most, and the property is set up for them end to end. It also suits family reunions, small business retreats, anniversary and milestone celebrations, and group gatherings of most kinds. If you're planning something we haven't listed, ask us — the answer is usually yes.

Can we rent for a single day, or the whole weekend?

Either one. Some events are a single day at the pavilion; others take the full run of the property from Thursday through Saturday. Our one-, two-, and three-day packages cover both, so you only pay for the time you need.

How many guests can you hold?

We're confirming our official guest capacity and will publish it as soon as it's settled. Tell us your headcount when you inquire and we'll confirm straight away whether the property fits your group.

Where do our guests stay?

On-site lodging is planned but not built yet, so for now guests stay nearby and drive in. We keep a short list of partner hotels in the area to make that easy.

How do we reserve our date?

A deposit reserves your date — your date isn't held until we've received it. The exact deposit amount is stated in your rental agreement. The deposit is non-refundable, so book when you're sure.

When is the rest due?

The remaining balance is due 90 days before your event. A refundable breakage deposit is due by the same date, and it comes back to you within 5 business days after the event, less any charges for damage or excessive cleaning.

How can we pay?

Check, ACH bank transfer, or major credit card. Check and ACH payments get the stated rates; credit-card payments carry a 3% processing fee. Idaho state sales tax (6%) and tourism tax (2%) apply to venue fees.

Do we need event insurance?

Yes — a special-event liability policy of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence (including liquor liability if you're serving alcohol), with the venue named as an additional insured. It's inexpensive and most couples arrange it online; certificates are due by your balance due date.

What if we need to change our date?

Life happens! You can make a one-time date change up to 120 days before your original date, subject to availability, for a $250 change fee. A second change is treated as a cancellation.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be in writing, and what's refunded depends on timing: 181+ days out, you forfeit only the deposit; 91–180 days out, 50% of the venue fee; 31–90 days out, the full venue fee; 30 days or fewer, all fees paid. The breakage deposit is returned except in that final window.

What about wildfire smoke or bad weather?

Weather, smoke, and road conditions alone aren't grounds for a refund. If a true emergency — like a mandatory evacuation, a government closure of Highway 21, or a declared disaster — prevents the event, we'll work with you first to find a new date within 12 months at no additional venue fee.

Can we bring our own vendors?

Yes — caterers, photographers, florists, DJs, bands, and more are welcome. Each vendor needs our written approval at least 30 days before your event and must carry $1,000,000 in liability insurance, with a certificate naming the venue as additional insured provided 14 days out.

What are the rules for alcohol?

Alcohol must be served by a licensed caterer or bartending service holding a valid Idaho catering permit (or someone we approve in writing). Age verification is required at every service point, and cash bars need prior written approval.

Is there a place for caterers to work?

Yes — the Ice House prep facility gives your caterer refrigeration and workspace on site.

How late can the music go?

Amplified music ends at 10 PM, with things winding down to conversational levels by 11 PM. We're in a quiet mountain neighborhood, and this keeps us — and your after-party — in everyone's good graces.

Who can book the venue?

The person signing the rental agreement must be at least 21. Your event is private — invited guests only.

What about decorations?

Decorate away — just no confetti or glitter of any kind (even biodegradable), and nothing stapled, nailed, or screwed to buildings, trees, or fences. Approved adhesive hooks and freestanding structures work beautifully.

Can we have candles or sparklers?

Open flames — including sky lanterns, floating candles, personal fireworks, and outside fire pits — need prior written approval, and Idaho fire restrictions always apply. Smoking is prohibited throughout the venue.

Are kids and pets welcome?

Both! Please keep children supervised at all times — we have a real creek and natural terrain — and keep pets leashed and cleaned up after.

Anything to plan for parking?

Parking is in designated areas, and you'll need one trained parking attendant for events up to 80 guests (two for larger events). We encourage arranging shuttles or designated drivers for guests who are celebrating.

Will our group be able to stay on site?

That's the plan — a lodging buyout will reserve up to 5 units (sleeping up to 6 each), priced per unit per night, with check-in at 3 PM on your first event day and check-out at 11 AM the day after your last. We'll announce lodging as soon as it's built.

Will there be somewhere special for the couple?

A Bridal Suite is planned — an enhanced private space for getting ready, and a lovely place to land at the end of the night. Once built, it will be a premium add-on.

How will the spa work?

Once built, spa and all-weather pool access will be a package add-on with designated hours, a four-person capacity, and a short liability waiver. Guests under 16 will need adult supervision, and glassware stays 10 feet away.

Will the lodging have house rules?

Yes — once open: no smoking inside or within 25 feet of units, no candles or open flame indoors, and quiet hours from midnight. Pets in units will need prior approval plus a $150 per-unit pet deposit.
